Before becoming an associate at Bennett Jones, Evan summered and articled with the firm. Prior to law school, Evan worked in the performing arts as an actor, director and producer in theatre and film across Canada. Recent Experience • SECURE Waste Infrastructure Corp. (TSX: SES), a leading waste management and energy infrastructure company, in its $157-million acquisition of a metals recycling business • ATCO Energy Ltd., a subsidiary of Canadian Utilities Limited, in its procurement and development of the Central East Transfer Out (CETO) Transmission Project to develop 240-kilovolt transmission lines across 135 kilometres of the central-east area of Alberta • Hillcore Group in its acquisition of CEDA, a leading service provider specialized in providing industrial maintenance, turnaround and environmental services in Western Canada. • Alberta Midland Railway Terminal Ltd., operator of a rail terminal near Edmonton, Alberta, and its shareholders including ATB Private Equity, in its sale to Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group. • Hillcore Group in its acquisition of SITE Resource Group, a diverse service provider providing infrastructure, piling, foundation, environmental, and civil services in Western Canada and Puerto Rico. • Hillcore Group in its acquisition of White Water Management, a leading fluid management business in Western Canada, and the business of its subsidiary, Catalyst Production Systems. • SECURE Energy Services Inc. in its $1.075-billion asset sale of waste management facilities pursuant to a divesture order by the Competition Tribunal. • Hillcore Group in its acquisition of Thompson Construction Group, a leading heavy civil contractor and construction company in Western Canada. • Repsol Oil & Gas Canada Inc. in its US$468-million sale of all partnership interests of Repsol Canada Energy Partnership to Peyto Exploration & Development Corp. • Circa Enterprises Inc. in connection with a concurrent go-private transaction via amalgamation with 2023 Sicame Amalco Inc. and concurrent asset sale of the corporation's telecom business to Guardian Telecom Ltd. for the base consideration of approximately $26.5-million. • Repsol Oil & Gas Canada Inc. in a series of four divestitures of certain upstream oil and gas assets. |
