Haifeng advises sponsors of domestic and international asset managers as well as institutional investors on all aspects of fund formation, including investment fund manager registration, fundraising, management vehicle structuring and carried interest allocation.
Overview

As an experienced M&A lawyer, he acts for both strategic and financial buyers and sellers across a broad range of industries, with particular expertise in advising Search Fund clients. Haifeng provides strategic and practical guidance throughout the transaction lifecycle, combining technical legal expertise with sound commercial judgement to support entrepreneurial and growth-oriented transactions.

Fluent in Chinese, Haifeng represents leading corporations and investment funds from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore in connection with their investments and acquisitions in Canada. He frequently collaborates with the Asia offices of major international law firms on cross-border transactions and complex matters involving Canadian entities and assets.
