Overview He represents clients in complex disputes involving commercial, public, constitutional and regulatory law, with experience in urgent proceedings such as injunctions and safeguard orders. His practice includes a particular focus on cross-border matters and international arbitration. Before joining Bennett Jones, Lucas worked for several years at a prominent national law firm, where he developed a broad litigation and arbitration practice. He also completed a secondment with a major Canadian financial institution, advising on regulatory and litigation issues from within its legal department. Earlier in his career, he interned in the contracts and intellectual property group of a leading Canadian aeronautics company. Lucas is a member of the Barreau du Québec and the Barreau de Paris. He holds a combined LL.B./MBA from the Université de Sherbrooke, as well as a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in French, European, and International Business Law from Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and conducted research at the CRCHUM under Dr. Pavel Hamet in the field of personalized medicine.
