Overview

Nolan has a general corporate and commercial law practice with a focus on commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, asset and share purchase transactions, corporate reorganizations, banking and secured lending transactions, corporate finance and commercial real estate.

While attending the University of Alberta, Nolan was awarded The Juriliber Scholarship, The Golden Bearrister Alumni Award and multiple Faculty of Law Undergraduate Scholarships. He graduated law school with distinction after maintaining First Class Standing and being named on the Dean's List.

Before joining Bennett Jones as an associate, Nolan summered and articled with the firm.

•  Heidelberg Materials North America in its binding purchase agreement to acquire the Edmonton, Alberta, assets of BURNCO, a successful fifth-generation family-owned construction materials company
•  SECURE Waste Infrastructure Corp. (TSX: SES), a leading waste management and energy infrastructure company, in its $157-million acquisition of a metals recycling business
•  Armco Hotels in the purchase of First Canadian Centre, an iconic Calgary class A office tower
•  G2S2 Capital, under its banner Armco Alberta, in its acquisition of Bow Valley Square, an iconic four-tower, LEED Platinum-certified office complex in the heart of downtown Calgary
•  The shareholders of a Western Canadian-based parts and services company in its sale to an international strategic buyer.
•  Local Waste Services Corp. in the sale of all of its shares to Environmental 360 Solutions Inc.
•  Hillcore Management Corporation in closing the acquisition of Midlite Construction Ltd. and its subsidiary TND Rentals & Supplies Ltd. by way of Share Purchase.
•  Hillcore Group in its acquisition of Thompson Construction Group, a leading heavy civil contractor and construction company in Western Canada.
•  Omega Morgan Holdings, Inc. in its acquisition of Donald Rigging Ltd.
