Overview

Adam Weryha has a general corporate commercial practice with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and other corporate and securities law matters.

Prior to joining Bennett Jones, Adam practiced at a corporate boutique in Toronto. He also served as a senior policy advisor in the Office of the Premier of Ontario where he advised on policy matters related to justice, labour, financial services and corporate-commercial regulation.

During his time in law school, Adam completed an internship with the Governmental Affairs Office of the American Bar Association, in Washington D.C.

Recent Experience
•  Westport Fuel Systems in the sale of its interest in Westport Fuel Systems Italia S.r.l., which includes the Light-Duty segment, for US$73.1 million to a wholly-owned investment vehicle of Heliaca Investments Coöperatief U.A.
•  Drone Delivery Canada in its merger of equals transaction with Volatus Aerospace to create a global diversified drone technology and services leader
•  Westport Fuel Systems and its related affiliates (the “Westport Entities”) in establishing a joint venture with Volvo Business Services International AB and its related entities (the “Volvo Group”) to carry on the Westport Entities’ High Pressure Direct Injection business.
•  Capvest Partners in its acquisition of Recochem, a Quebec based manufacturer of aftermarket transportation and household fluids.
•  Rangeland Energy, in connection with the sale of Rangeland Midstream Canada Ltd., whose principal assets include the Marten Hills Pipeline System, to Kingston Midstream Alberta Limited.
