 Bennett Jones Education University of Waterloo, BASc (Chemical Engineering, Honours), 2021, with distinction Dalhousie University, JD, 2025 Bar Admissions Matthew Williams joined Bennett Jones as a summer student in 2023 at the Calgary office, returning to the firm as an articling student in 2025. Overview Throughout his legal studies at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, Matthew earned the Law Foundation of Nova Scotia Scholarship, the Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP Prize, and the Robert T. Donald Insurance Prize. He participated in the Bowman Tax Moot and was an active member of the Schulich intramural hockey team. Matthew is actively involved in his community and during law school, participated in several student-led initiatives and served on the Career Development Committee. He also spent several years working as a downstream energy risk engineer at Aon Plc and Nutrien Ltd, which helped develop his skills in technical risk analysis and industry operations. |
