Bennett Jones Strengthens Vancouver Office with Two New Partners

Bennett Jones is pleased to announce that Daniel Steiner and Shoshanah Webber have joined its Vancouver office as partners. Dan advises companies, private equity funds, family offices and pension plans on complex domestic and cross-border transactions. Shoshanah is a member of the firm's financial services group and her practice focuses on corporate and commercial lending.

This is Bennett Jones' second announcement this year of a multi-partner hire—and will further expand the firm's M&A, transactional and infrastructure practices. On January 12, the firm bolstered its energy, mining and M&A groups with a three-partner hire.

Dan Steiner acts for clients across a broad range of industries including infrastructure, technology, manufacturing, resources, entertainment, hospitality, food and transportation. Dan was previously at an international law firm and head of its Vancouver M&A team. He also practised in the M&A group of a leading U.S. law firm in its New York head office. He is ranked by Chambers Canada for corporate/commercial, Lexpert for M&A and PE, and Best Lawyers for corporate governance and leveraged buyouts.

Shoshanah Webber advises clients on syndicated transactions, asset-based lending, cross-border transactions, real estate financing, acquisition financing and project financing, debtor-in-possession financing and forbearance arrangements. She regularly represents domestic banks, private lenders and foreign financial institutions, as lenders, and various corporations, partnerships and trusts, as borrowers. She is ranked in Best Lawyers for banking and finance law.
