Tami Oguntona joined Bennett Jones as a summer student in 2023 at the Calgary office, returning to the firm as an articling student in 2025.
Overview
Throughout her legal studies at the University of Calgary, Tami volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and served in leadership roles with the Black Law Students’ Association, first as vice president of mentorship and outreach and later as president. Tami has led initiatives that enhanced inclusion within the Faculty of Law, including organizing community events and educational panels.
Tami was actively involved in her community through campus engagement and was recognized for her contributions to equity and student life. She also spent several years working for the University of Alberta Residence Services, which helped develop her skills in leadership, program management, and cross-cultural communication.
