Chris Porter’s practice focuses on financial and commercial transactions.

Overview

Clients benefit from Chris’ advice with respect to the establishment of various forms of secured and unsecured credit facilities on behalf of borrowers and lenders; advice in relation to acquisition and financing of aircrafts and other assets; commercial and industrial lease negotiation; conveyancing of commercial, industrial and mineral real estate interests; advising participants in public-private partnerships; and advising on regulatory compliance.

Recently, Chris has worked on transactions in the natural resource and conventional and renewable energy sector, the aviation sector, the manufacturing industry, agribusiness and the construction industry.

Prior to being called in Alberta and practising with Bennett Jones, Chris was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 2013 and practised law with a leading law firm in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
