Overview
John has a general corporate commercial law practice, with experience in numerous fund formation transactions, both on the sponsor and investor side. John negotiates side letters on behalf of Canadian institutional investors and is familiar with the typical formation documents required on the sponsor side in Ontario. He has been involved in a number of fund formation transactions involving non-Canadian managers that have opted to organize a limited partnership under Ontario law. John also acts for clients in connection with various securities, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters.
Before becoming an associate at Bennett Jones, John summered and articled with the firm.
