Elizabeth Dylke and Mia Bacic spoke at IC25 Webinar "Legal and Market Forces Shaping Secondaries Transactions: A Cross-Border Perspective", presented as part of CVCA’s Invest Canada Webinar Series on November 5 2025. The panel session brought together professionals from Bennett Jones, Kirkland & Ellis and PJT Partners to examine the legal and market forces shaping the rapid expansion of secondaries transactions in a cross-border context.

As moderator, Elizabeth guided the discussion on how Canadian tax rules, competition law and regulatory frameworks affect cross-border secondaries. Along with Mia she highlighted the evolving role of these transactions in liquidity and portfolio management strategies. They also addressed practical considerations for navigating US–Canada deal flow and international structures as global secondary market volumes exceed US$160 billion.
